A broker for accountancy practices, run by people who have bought them, integrated them and dealt with the fallout when a handover goes badly.
We are part of a group that buys and runs accountancy practices. Sitting on the buying side of four acquisitions in a year, the same thing kept happening: sellers were badly served by the process. Practices were circulated to hundreds of firms. Owners found out their staff had heard before they had. Valuations were quoted high to win the instruction and quietly renegotiated at heads of terms.
We know what a buyer actually checks, what they will pay a premium for, and what makes them walk. That is worth more to a seller than a longer mailing list.
Engagement letters, work in progress, informal fee arrangements. The things that stall diligence are the things we fix before we start, not after.
Including that one of the buyers is connected to us, and including when your practice is worth less than you hoped.
Said on the first call, not at heads of terms
Practice Group buys and runs accountancy practices, and it is part of the same group as Practice Brokers. Every broker in this market has favoured buyers. Most never mention it.
Say the word and Practice Group never sees your file — and nothing else about how we work for you changes.
Practice Group sees no other offer before making its own, and every offer you receive is put in front of you in the same format.
We are paid identically whether you sell to Practice Group or to anyone else. There is nothing in it for us to steer you.
Two businesses, and it is only fair you know which is which before you tell us anything about your firm.
Us. We act for the seller, find the buyer, and run the transaction through to completion. We are paid on completion and only then.
A buy-and-build firm that acquires and runs accountancy practices. Our connected buyer, and one of the bidders you can rule out on the first call.
Twenty minutes on the phone. No documents, no NDA, no obligation — and the market hears nothing.
